![]() ![]() Maybe you don't like the colour scheme? Why not use an alternative style sheet? You'll see that the default style sheet called "dark.css" gives all of the pages a dark appearance. How might you go about changing the appearance of the skin? What sort of things could you do? If you make a new translation for ExhibitPlus, please submit it so that other users may also benefit from it. Reload ExhibitPlus and you'll see your chosen language appear in the list of choices. Do this for each line in the file and save the file. Now open the file you've just created and simply translate the text to the right of the equals symbol into the language of your choice. If you wanted to have text translated into Arabic you would make a copy of the file and name it texts_ar.properties. Would you like your album to appear in a language which is not supported? No problem, all you have to do is to locate the file called texts.properties in the ExhibitPlus directory. By selecting a different language all text strings in the resulting album output will be translated automatically. You'll find a list of the supported languages under the "General" tab of the ExhibitPlus user interface in jAlbum. For more details please consult meta.properties in the reference section. Meta.properties can contain other fields - for example, to use an alternative folder name instead of the file system's name for the folder, or to specify a particular thumbnail to be displayed instead of the standard folder icon. The meta.properites file contains a line that should look something like this:ĭescript = Our holiday pictures from 1999 Create or copy a meta.properties into each folder where your source images are stored. Setting up the meta.properties fileĮach folder needs to have a description entered for it. This could be very useful if you wish to use different layout options in different folders.įor a full explanation about how to use each of these files please consult the reference section. variables.inc - This allows you to override variables on a folder by folder basis.This could be useful if you are using additional styles in the header.inc which are not included in the standard style sheet of the skin. These styles will override any styles in the style sheet. styles.inc - You can add additional style information to the header of your output files.news.inc - This allows you to put "news" items on index pages to inform visitors about new photographs or perhaps explain additional information.meta.properties - This file is required in each image directory, and describes the contents of the folder, as well as other optional information such as which thumbnail file to use to represent that folder.header.inc - Would you like a nav bar or a standard header to appear on each page? For a quick explanation about what these features do, simply hover your mouse over them and a hint will appear. These allow you to customise various aspects of the skin. Once you select this tab you will see a list of options for the skin. After the skin has loaded you will see an extra tab called "ExhibitPlus" just to the right of the "Main" tab at the top left-hand corner of jAlbum.
